The progressive art banner in the Vein Store in Brisbane Australia is currently being worked on by talented creator Chris Worfold. It's very exciting to have an artist of Chris' calibre working on the next installment. He has referenced Self-replicating Canibalism as a description for the work. I'll chat to Chris about this more later.
The idea behind the banner is have progressive creative change form an organic art work that lives in the store. So the slate is never wiped clean. Instead each new installment overlaps the last. You can still see the pink/purple work in the background done by Carmen and Andrew from the late FUGU Design Studio.
Chris Worfold is an Australian, Brisbane based artist, artworker and educator with an extensive local exhibition history. He is a graduate from the Queensland College of Art and the Queensland University of Technology in Visual Arts and Education. He has been co-director of a commercial gallery, curated numerous exhibitions, written for catalogues and publications. He has completed several public art commissions, served on a number of arts committees and taught Visual Arts for over 10 years. He currently teaches part-time at the Southbank Institute of Technology and has an escalating arts practice which is extending internationally and into publications. He has stacked all his accomplishments beside him.
