Vein Price Reductions

I am announcing a significant price reduction across all Vein shoes. This is NOT a “sale” or a temporary reduction to stimulate sales. We have changed a manufacturing process relating to the decorative treatment of the soles. The new treatment costs a lot less and I am passing on the value savings through the price reduction.

The current styles have had a sole with decoration that is “laser-cut” out of the silver foil. It's really cool. We are however moving to a sole where the decoration is embossed rather than laser-cut. The new embossing, though less striking, costs a lot less than laser-cutting. Such that the costs of the new shoes will be approximately $249.00.

I changed the price for all the shoes across the range, even if they have the laser-cut soles, for two reasons going forward. One, I don't want customers to have to choose between soles based on the price of the decoration. Two, our accounting systems can't handle two prices for the same style code.

We are doing this even though we will be losing money on the styles that have already been laser-cut.

I realise that anyone who has recently purchased shoes may feel miffed that the new price is lower than what they paid. I actually feel terrible about that. It’s one of the major reasons I don’t do sales like every other store does. If you are one of those customers, the first thing to remember is that the price that you paid is a fair price for the shoes you purchased because they have the laser-cut decoration. That said, I will be offering a $40.00 (or the price difference) credit to all Vein Insiders that purchased within one month of the price change.

Please email your receipt or bring it into the store and we will give you a credit (Gift Voucher) for the difference. Thank you kindly for your understanding. I'm sure everyone will be happy about the new prices when it comes time to buy an awesome new pair of Veins!
