For the second time in 3 years, international mega-weight Kenzo has collaborated with Vein Wear for a memorable parade. On show was the Kenzo Winter 07 collection. In a runway twist, groups of 5 models worked in coordination down the catwalk. Many fashion industry experts said it was the highlight of the entire L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival.
Kenzo designer Antonio Marras has been putting his forever fertile imagination to designing the men's ready to wear collection since 2002.
Antonio is constantly on the move yet firmly rooted to his origins. Whatever happens, he wants to live in Sardinia with his whole family, in his big workshop-come-house overlooking the sea. This contrast between an unbridled intellectual nomadism and a strong grounding in daily life is in perfect synergy with the Kenzo state of mind. He gathers all the sensitivity, personality and talent needed to insuflate a new vitality into the brand.
"What I admire in Kenzo is its modernity, the incredible blend of coherence and heterogeneity. I love the personal way to mix seemingly different genres and styles, and the natural poetry that happens when they are assembled. Designing for Kenzo is a very strong emotion, a real challenge."
I'm sure Antonio will continue the improve Kenzo's already aspirational reputation. Check out www.kenzo.com for the clothes above or www.veinwear.com for the shoes and boots.
